His current screen GF is also an amazing vocalist, too bad being the wrong color for this show she's not in the crew credit. Actor are very talented singers, especially, Music is very beutiful. Chris Carmack as Will Lexington. Oliver Hudson as Jeff Fordham. This Show is a Winner! Can't wait to next week! I can't say enough about this drama. Connie Britton also produces plays Rayna James, a veteran country music star. She does a fabulous job in the rol She does a fabulous job in the role and should be getting an Emmy for it.
Hayden Panetterie whom I watched when she was on Guiding Light years ago is fantastic as Juliet Barnes, a rising star. She does a fantastic job in her role.
Powers Boothe plays Rayna's father and is brilliant in his supporting role. Eric Close is fine as Teddy Conrad, Rayna's husband. The best part of the show is that it is filmed on location in Nashville, Tennessee and it shows with landmark sites like the Ryman Auditorium, the Grand Ole Opry, the Bluebird Cafe, and others. The series shows light on the country music set, politics, and the relationships and dynamics among them.
Can't wait for the next episode! This show is a winner! I do not really know where to start on this one. The actors are not too bad but the music in the series is crappy, not even remotely good. I watched just because the Hero's blonde chick was in it, also the ad's showed a racy, sexy, and intense drama. Halfway into the first show I kept wanting to turn it off because of the bad music, second there was nothing grabbing me in just another soap opera show packaged differently.
I do not see much potential for the show but of course people will just watch it anyways, word to the producers show more of the blonde with less clothes and your ratings will jump. I had high hopes because of Connie Britton's talent. I found the plot practically non-existent and totally predictable. I know this is a series about I know this is a series about Country Music, but still, there was way too much singing and not enough acting. The music is good. The actors are talented.
But there isn't enough time to both sing and have a good plot. The only thing I can add is that I'm not a fan of "Glee" either. Maybe that helps explain my decision to not watch this again.
I hope to see Connie Britton again, in something that lives up to her talent. Very disappointed in the main character Hayden. The plot and the character of the main actor, Hayden Panettiere, is excruciating. Weak plot, and while I always liked Hayden Panettiere, her character Weak plot, and while I always liked Hayden Panettiere, her character is a disappointing shallow, selfish, temperamental, and heartless singer that will do anything to get ahead, like stealing singer from Connie Britton.
If she was a real singer, I would never see her concert knowing what kind of heartless person she really is. The writers should have written a plot with Hayden like the many down to earth country stars that exist. I never really seen the previews to the show, but my mom made me record it. When i thought about it though, i was thinking that there would be murder When i thought about it though, i was thinking that there would be murder or something in it, just going off what our normal shows are.
While the characters are good, and the songs are nice, it just seems to be a show that drags on for an hour. THere is a lot that i still don't know about the characters and sometimes that makes you want to keep watching but in this show, they don't give you enough to make you want to.
You have no idea about what their lives were before, and each episode it comes out a little bit, but not enough to make you curious for more. Even if you aren't that much of a country fan this TV series about Nashville and the country music business is quite watchable. Some of the songs wri Some of the songs written for the show are good some not so much. The casting has some hits and some misses.
They aren't all authentic Southerners and their accents are hit and miss. The two leads are good. Hayden Panetierre is a good actress with an expressive face and versatillity.
She is convincing and has a minx like quality that suits the role. Connie Britton is believable as a country singer with an older Faith Hill vibe. Eric Close is good as her husband facing some tough choices.
Charles Esten plays Connie's character's former lover completing the first triangle. His side romance with Hayden's Juliette is a bit creepy.
The misses are the younger supporting cast. Clare Bowen is a bit plump and homely. Jonathan Jackson looks a bit sickly. Sam Palladio is a bit too dorky to complete this triangle.
Overall so far the story is interesting and the show has promise. A wonderful math lesson, how many pairs can you get from 5 people. The writers just make crap up, and the music, except the little girls, simply sucks, its all the same, at least Treme has a lot of great and original music. And I love, simply love how Caucasian actors are finally getting their chance to shine?!?!?
Jesus, what a train wreck, I suppose its good that there isn't too much god and country BS. Not sure how this will play with the tea party crowd. If you enjoy bad acting and shallow commercialized country music, this is the show for you. I had this misfortune of watching a few episodes of Nashville a few weeks ago, and I still can't get those god-awful jingles out of my head.
That is why I must warn everyone against watching this show. Without any spoilers, I can tell you that the show essentially follows this format: Dramatic build up to people playing country music in front of adoring fans 2. Dramatic build up to some characters sleeping together 3.
Country music performance 4. Two characters have sex 5. Rinse and repeat, possibly in varying orderThe music is roughly the quality of commercial jingles. The show is also completely devoid of any dramatic tension.
Every single character in the show is either a successful country music star, or obviously destined to become one. The shady characters are obvious foils who never pose any real threats to the protagonists.
